GOSHEN, NY – On a warm fall evening at Craigville Park, the Washingtonville Little League 50/70 team delivered a championship-worthy performance, defeating Warwick Little League 10-0 to claim the 2024 Harvest Cup title!
Dominic Fiorini was untouchable on the mound, tossing a complete-game no-hitter over five innings, striking out nine while allowing just three walks. With dominant pitching and stellar defense behind him, Washingtonville never gave Warwick a chance to climb back into the game.
The offense came alive behind Liam Pickens, who delivered two clutch hits and five RBI. Landon Begley and Noah Rizzo also sparked the lineup with two hits each, while Daniel Gonzalez added a key hit and two RBI to extend the lead.
Guided by coaches Nick Begley, Jarrod Pickens, Tony Fiorini and Rob Muenkel, the team capped off an incredible 8-1 fall season with a dominant championship victory.
Congratulations, Washingtonville 50/70, on an unforgettable season and a well-earned Harvest Cup championship!
